The year 1989 saw the inception of one of Sri Lanka’s leading tea exporters, which in turn became the world’s 3rd largest exporter of packeted tea within a short span of 2 years. Qualitea has been on the forefront of delivering superior grade tea varieties to the Middle East, Europe, United Kingdom and Asia, while also specialising in introducing novelty and variety to a generation of tea enthusiasts!

At Qualitea, we are proud of our 35 year legacy and the rich experience in Tea. We stand today as one of the leading International Tea trading and Marketing companies in the world. The company has grown from its inception to be a very strong force. In the beginning, our operations we were mainly as a bulk tea supplier. However, in the past Two decades, we have given much more emphasis to our own brands and private label retail packs. Our brands, QUALITEA , SHERETEA and GENEX have become eagerly sought after, the world over. We have also continued our efforts as brand builders of many a Private Label brand, in numerous countries. We also continue to supply bulk teas to many of our partners who pack these teas in famous brands internationally.
As an organisation, we strive to offer unmatched value to our clients on the strength of our sound fundamentals. We will continue on our path of pursuing growth in high quality oriented, value added teas. We will pursue new markets and promote The Best Ceylon teas and also Exclusive Teas of other origins, whilst we strengthen our presence in existing markets. We pay great attention on improving our Client Services and Relations, as well as increasing our investment and empowering our businesses to attain sustainable and long-term growth, while being a socially responsible corporate citizen.
