To make reading text and viewing colours easier on the eye, zooming and shifting variables such as contrast and brightness can be done so, respectively.

 

To zoom in and out of any website on your desktop, click the arrow button beside the Change Zoom Level button, and select your desired zoom level accordingly. Colours and other related visual nuances can be modified by visiting Tools > Internet Options and then selecting the desired variable that you wish to modify under the ‘Appearances’ section.

Internet Explorer 10

The Zoom function over Internet Explorer 10 can drastically assist in improving readability of webpages. To zoom in or out of your browser, visit Tools > Zoom and then select the magnification of your desire. Font sizes can also be changed by pressing the Alt key, and then visiting View > Text size and finally the size of your preference.

Internet Explorer 11

Google Chrome (all recent versions)

 

Zooming and modifying the fonts to suit your usability preferences over Google Chrome enables better browsing overall. To zoom, click on the Menu button on the top right hand corner, scroll down over Zoom and click the + and – buttons to accordingly change the magnification of your current webpage.

 

Fonts can be altered by visiting Menu > Settings > Show Advanced Settings, and then selecting the ‘Font size’ drop-down menu from the ‘Web Content’ section.

Mozilla Firefox (all recent versions)

 

You can zoom in or out of webpages to improve readability of the site you are on, or even change the minimum font size to suit sites that have text that are originally too small to read. In order to zoom, press the Alt key and visit View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only.

 

To set a minimum font size, visit Options > Content > Fonts & Colors > Advanced to then select a specific size from the drop-down menu.

Safari 8.0.6

 

Font sizes can be modified here, and to do so you need to begin from the menu over your Safari browser by visiting Safari > Preferences > Accessibility; ticking on either or both checkboxes which relate to the font size and highlighting feature will incorporate more versatility for a better user experience.
