‘TEA, A LIFESTYLE AND A LIVELIHOOD’

Tea, the pride and identity of the pearl of the Indian Ocean! A Beverage that is celebrated, loved and enjoyed. A leaf, when brewed, bearing multiple colour variations, aromas and flavours, must be talked about and valued. With over a 150-year legacy in the tea trade, Ceylon tea continues to maintain its identity as a global icon of quality.

While bearing the competence to sustain livelihoods, brighten spirits and build relationships across cultures and various ethnicities, Ceylon tea is revered by many around the globe. To commemorate and celebrate this renowned beverage and its unique characteristic, the Colombo International Tea Convention 2024 brings together the entire chain of those responsible for the processing the delivering of this significant beverage. The convention to be held from the 24th to the 26th of July, aims to unite, retailers, buyers, exporters, the manufacturers, tea experts and various professionals under one roof, to exchange talks, opinions and ideas spanning through a plethora of experience in the tea trade, forming a solid platform of strategy and face the futuristic tea trade.

With the presence of over 300 experts in the industry and tea fanatics the world over, this gathering provides a phenomenal knowledge exchange on the drive towards sustainable solutions in developing a united foundation on which growers, sellers and consumers unite. Discussion on possibilities of utilizing the massive strength of the beverage to change lives, improve livelihoods and elevate mood, created the opening for the theme ‘Tea, a lifestyle and livelihood’. This collective gathering, hosted for years, is once again launched in 2024, emphasizing global togetherness and purity through tea.
